Whether you’re just getting started or have been here for a while, this is your one-stop shop for everything you need to be successful on Handshake AI.

Working on projects from outside the United States

This article explains where Handshake AI project work can be completed and who is eligible to participate. These guidelines are in place to protect fellows, ensure data security, and meet legal and compliance requirements. They apply to all Handshake AI contractors performing paid annotation, evaluation, or task-based work.

Can I work on a project while I am outside of the United States as a US person?

All work must be completed from within the United States and associated territories. If you plan to be outside the US for 14 or more consecutive days, you must receive written confirmation from your project lead before working during that time. Work completed outside the US without prior approval may not be accepted.

Can I work on a project if I’m not authorized to work in the United States?

At this time, non-US persons are eligible to join Handshake AI on an invitation-only basis. If you've received an invitation, follow the onboarding steps in your invitation email to sign up and get started. If you have not received an invitation, you are not currently eligible to participate.
